The Wishbone Chair, designed in 1949 by Danish designer Hans Wegner, was originally inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Chinese Ming chairs. It became one of the most iconic Danish furniture designs of the 20th Century.
Also referred to as the 'Y' chair due to its Y-shaped back, the Wishbone can be used as a dining or occasional chair, making it perfect for use in any living space.
Our Wishbone style chair is a high quality piece and remains true to the original design. Available in a range of beautiful colours, it can fit in easily with any modern or traditional interior. The name Hans J Wegner is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trademark.
